I first discovered this LIFE CHANGING supplement from non-other than my mom. In all seriousness one afternoon, she asked if I could order her some mushroom supplement off Amazon. I half-giggled before realizing that this wasn’t the street mushrooms we are used to hearing about, but I’m still not sure that these don’t have similar properties after taking them. My creativity is off the charts, I feel more alive than I ever have and I find myself laughing more than I normally do. But I digress. Lion’s mane mushroom, or scientifically known as ‘Hericium Erinaceus’, is a go-to within my daily routine.
Lion’s Mane is an edible mushroom with medicinal properties which has been used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. The miracle mushroom has proven to act as an antibiotic, anticancer, neuroprotective, fat- and glucose-lowering super supplement! Other positive side effects can include reduction in anxiety/depression, enhancements to cognitive function and fatigue-fighting (hence why I am no longer drinking coffee).
The mushroom decreases inflammation (anyone suffering from arthritis out there?), acts as an antioxidant (Acai berries are so 2014), and stimulates the immune system. Not sold yet? I created this blog on day 3 of ‘shrooms. BOOM.
